Fire Rated Lighting - Advice from a Professional

 

Everybody knows that Fire Rated lighting is important - but it's safe to say that far fewer people know why. Many myths and misunderstandings surround Fire Rating specifications and the products that adhere to them.

To bust some of the myths, Professional Electrician and Installer recently sat down with Phil Knight (MIFireE) from Exemplar Fire Safety Consultancy. He explained the purpose of Fire Rated downlights, where and when they should be fitted as well as how they are tested and much more.
